Liz Mascolo
Segment President, North America Pet
Liz Mascolo is Segment President of General Mills’ North America Pet Segment, leading an ambitious and passionate team who cares deeply about elevating the role of pets in families. The North America Pet Segment is home to premium dog and cat feeding and treating brands including Blue Buffalo, Tiki Pets, Cloud Star and Edgard & Cooper.
North America Pet is one of General Mills’ largest growth opportunities, and the segment has accelerated under Mascolo’s leadership. Blue Buffalo, the most loved and trusted natural pet food brand in the United States, returned to growth in fiscal year 2025 through powerful marketing and strategic investments in dog and cat feeding. Mascolo has also led strategic initiatives to improve the segment’s growth profile with Blue Buffalo’s entry into fresh pet food and the acquisition of Whitebridge Pet Brands – North America.
Mascolo has over 20 years of experience across General Mills’ brands, key categories and global markets. In her previous role as Vice President, Strategy & Growth, she led the evaluation of Pet strategic growth targets. Prior to this, she served as Vice President, Business Unit Director for Pillsbury. Under her leadership, Pillsbury repeatedly exceeded its net sales and profit plan while also delivering dollar, volume and share growth. Additionally, Mascolo served as Marketing Director for Cereal Partners Worldwide, General Mills’ joint venture with Nestle, where she oversaw the strategy and brand building for 10 global cereal brands across 130 markets.
Currently, Mascolo serves on the board of directors for the Pet Food Institute, a national nonprofit advocating for pet food safety and regulation. She is also an executive sponsor for General Mills’ Black Champions Network, which focuses on the growth, development and success of Black employees, and co-leads the Women's Officer Leadership Network.
Mascolo graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in Government. She completed her MBA at the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia.
